What is Ocean Decade 2024?
The Ocean Decade 2024 marks the fourth year of implementation of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030). Focused on ‘delivering the science we need for the ocean we want’, it will bring together the global Ocean Decade community and partners to evaluate progress and set future priorities.
Focused on delivering essential ocean science, the Ocean Decade addresses key challenges such as climate change, food security, and pollution. Through collaboration, the event aims to strengthen global to local ocean management, fostering science-based innovation.
Partners can also contribute to the discussion through Satellite Events, making it a comprehensive effort towards a sustainable ocean future.
