Support for evidence-based policy

EMBRC supports research that contributes to evidence-based policy decisions related to the blue bio-economy, biotechnology, biodiversity, aquaculture, and the climate.

Our contribution to economic development

The marine sector tends to be far away from cities/big hubs, so these areas have low employment, or low-income jobs. Biotech tends to be in these areas, so there is potential for economic develop. EMBRC works very closely at the regional level to support regional-level ecosystems.
