AI4Life project aims to bridge the gap between life scientists and AI developers in the field of biological imaging.
The project is launching its third annual open call, offering life scientists with unmet image analysis needs access to deep learning enhanced workflows.
This call is part of a series of three annual open calls, focusing on challenges that hinder scientific discovery and impact multiple researchers or communities.
December 10, 2024 | Submission Deadline |
WHAT DOES THE CALL OFFER?
AI4Life invites proposals from anyone who operates on life-science image data and are interested in collaborating with the AI4Life team to assess whether modern deep learning methods can enhance or streamline their analysis workflows. Below are some examples of the application scope for the call:
- Enhancing image analysis workflows
- Guidance on creating training data
- Consultancy on available tools and solutions
WHO CAN APPLY?
- You are working in the life sciences and are analysing scientific image data.
- The subset of your raw data required for your analysis task must be (or will be before the project starts) openly accessible under a permissive license, e.g. CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, or CC0.
- The outcomes of our collaborative efforts can be shared (a subset of the data on the BioImage Archive, trained models on the BioImage Model Zoo, and analysis workflows on the AI4Life website or open-access repositories).
