With summer just around the corner, EMO BON is preparing for the 7th sampling event. This time, in June 2022, participants will be sampling the water column, soft substrates microorganisms, and meiobenthos.

Participants are encouraged to conduct the sampling campaign in the second half of the month. Once they sample, they are asked to provide their metadata in the online spreadsheets. Keeping rich and complete metadata records is important for data FAIRification and for the scientific context of EMO BON datasets.

This sampling will mark one year of sampling events for EMO BON! The EMO BON management team is proud of this accomplishment, and excited for the future of this important initiative.
