As a participant of the UN Decade for ocean sciences, EMBRC’s work to accelerate knowledge of marine biodiversity is underpinned by our commitment to meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
By discovering new scientific knowledge about marine ecosystems, we can help to find solutions to pressing environmental challenges such as biodiversity loss, climate change, ocean pollution, and the sustainable use of marine resources. In particular, our work is contributing to the following UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
