On Wednesday, April 24th, Nicolas Pade, Executive Director of the European Marine Biology Resource Center (EMBRC) will be speaking about EMBRC’s EMO BON (European Marine Omics Biodiversity Observation Network) at the 2nd UN Ocean Decade Regional Conference & 11th WESTPAC International Marine Science Conference in Thailand.

Event, Nicolas Pade

Nicolas Pade will participate in the W12 Decade Action Workshop: Ocean Biomolecular Observing Network (OBON)

The W12 workshop will explore OBON's contribution to advancing understanding of ocean life through biomolecular tools, addressing challenges such as pollution, habitat loss, and climate change. It will particularly focus on overcoming obstacles in utilising environmental DNA tools for biodiversity research in tropical ecosystems, aiming to establish a local biomolecular network.
Nicolas Pade will also elaborate on how the EMO BON genomic observatory contributes to enhancing marine biodiversity data collection across Europe and globally, aiming to elevate Europe's role in global genomic observation and provide crucial insights into marine genetic composition.
